However, the spring practice sessions didn\u2019t necessarily support that rhetoric.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">According to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/sports\/football\/professional\/break-time-after-productive-offseason-rams-scramble-for-summer\/article_4ac7458f-4b03-5b6c-90e8-f27a047bbeff.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">the St. Louis Post-Dispatch<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, the Rams featured <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/15078\/chris-givens\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Chris Givens<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/14035\/austin-pettis\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Austin Pettis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> as their two outside WRs with the first-team offense through the OTAs and minicamp, with rookie <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/15786\/tavon-austin\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tavon Austin<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> in the slot. This seems like a red flag regarding Quick, though the coaches are attempting to push the narrative that it\u2019s more a result of Pettis playing well than Quick taking a step back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cQuick\u2019s doing a lot better,\u201d OC Brian Schottenheimer claimed. \u201cHe\u2019s stepped up this year.
